Zhuang Wen Ru, also known as Ann Zhuang is mostly known for being the wife of Taiwanese actor and singer, Chang Chen. Ann and Chen dated for several years before officially becoming a couple. She got married to Chen in 2013 in Taipei City, Taiwan. In 2015, the couple had their first child (a daughter) named Yuan Yuan Chang.

Her Husband, Chang

Chang Chen, a Taiwanese actor, was born on October 14, 1976. He was born in Taiwan’s capital city of Taipei. His brother Hans Chang and his father Chang Kuo-chu are both actors. Chang made his film debut when he was very young. He was then chosen by Taiwanese director Edward Yang to play the lead role in the four-hour highly acclaimed movie A Brighter Summer Day, which took home the Special Jury Prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival.

Wong Kar-Happy wai’s Together was one of Chang’s first acting roles (1997). He gained notoriety for his performance as “Dark Cloud” in the Ang Lee-directed movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon from 2000. Additionally, he appeared in the movie 2046 by Wong Kar-wai (2004).

Then, in Hou Hsiao-Three hsien’s Times (2005), which was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Golden Horse for Best Taiwanese Film among other accolades, Chang co-starred alongside Shu Qi. Chang received a nomination for Best Actor at the 2005 Golden Horse Awards for his work in that movie.

For his performance in The Go Master, a dramatization of the life of Go master Wu Qingyuan, Chang was nominated for the Golden Horse Award for Best Actor in 2006. The next year, Chang made his acting debut in Korea in Kim Ki-Breath, duk’s 2007 Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or nominee.

After that, Chang played the warlord Sun Quan in the 2008–2009 historical battle epic Red Cliff. He received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards. After that, he appeared in Wong Kar-2013 wai’s kung-fu epic The Grandmaster and Lu Chuan’s 2012 historical epic The Last Supper.

Chang starred in the wuxia movie Brotherhood of Blades in 2014, which was a commercial success. He received his third Golden Horse Award nomination for Best Actor.

In 2015, Chang collaborated once again on the Cannes Film Festival entry The Assassin with co-star Shu Qi and director Hou Hsiao-hsien of Three Times.

In the action movie Mr Long, which was chosen to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival, Chang played the titular role in 2017. He made a comeback the following year for the Brotherhood of Blades sequel.

Chang is not active on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and others. As a result, very little is known about his personal and social life.
